Project Experience

Conestoga College Library

One of the most impactful ways to define flexible spaces without physical partitions is with the flooring selections. Each area of the library is defined with a strategic flooring layout that defines space and also implements way-finding. Wood look carpet tile defines the library entrance and creates transitional space between the main corridor and the opening to the library. Once inside the feeling of a soft stone walkway is created using a stone look carpet tile. As you make your way towards the centre of the library, the pathway starts to transition into a heavily textured tile leading the user to open group study tables. The central pathway also leads attention to the glass curtain wall with stunning views of the campus pond, mature trees and green space.
