Grand River Raceway

Located in Elora, Ontario, the Grand River Raceway is a race track, gaming and entertainment establishment built in 2002. In 2014 URBANUS was awarded a design contract to consult on  a refresh project including three separate areas located in their main building as well as the Lighthouse Event Centre. The concept; Rustic elegance with an equestrian flair. The project had a construction budget of $100,000 which was used strategically throughout each space in order to create the most impact. New statement lighting, flooring, paint and some key furniture pieces were added but the feature of this project was the stunning custom large format carpet tiles designed by URBANUS and produced by Milliken. The carpet featured a tartan pattern with a combination of blues, consistent with the GRR corporate colour pallet, overlaid with a tree silhouette. To reduce costs existing  event seating was reupholstered and powder coated black.
